Bliss. Quite a word, sweetie, and one that sure packs a punch! What does it mean to you? A beach vacation, floating on a pink flamingo and ogling lifeguards? A cosy night on the sofa in bunny PJ’s, a box of Kleenex and an old Disney? Or is it a new pair of gravity defying heels parading top spot in your closet?

Well, my little cutie pie, while I can’t plug you into bliss as speedily as making a morning’s espresso, I can tell you one thing…bliss is a way of being. Yip! And to manifest bliss, you gotta, and I mean capital G gotta suspend reality. Attention to it is like giving precious time to gum you have chewed all the flavor out of.

As the world’s leading solo travel expert, I can categorically state, with unwavering certainty, to manifest the highest bliss, (the kind you won’t find in possessions), you have to FEEL free! By that, I don’t mean free from something, I mean free to be 100% your authentic self. Anything less simply just won’t cut it…

Now, as an advocate of solo travel, I will always be waving that flag…a place where bliss is guaranteed in abundance! As someone who has always been a joyful rebel, I’ve always been fascinated why many people just accept life as it is (when you know in every fibre of your being it is meant to be fun all the time). It is only to the extent that you believe this, that you will see it too.

Simply put, if you believe you are not free, you never will be. If you believe you have to work long hours, you will always have to. If you believe life sucks, life will reveal to you why it sucks. On the contrary, if you feel life is bliss, this little darling will reveal itself. And the more you notice it and bask in it, the more it reveals itself again and again and again!

A closer look at bliss

Take a child of 3…this child will wake up excited and go from one happy moment to the next all day every day without one ounce of boredom. This same child will find amusement in his funny socks, his dogs wagging tail, his cereal packet. And, he will dance his funny little socks off through any open space, sing at the top of his cutesie voice with the aid of a wooden spoon, and cuddle the same dog with unconditional love knowing he and his puppy are best mates.

As the day unfolds, the smile remains, the laughs intensify, the joy endless, finding bliss in everything he does. And when he goes to sleep, he contemplates the fabulous day, and can’t wait for the next one. As he looks at his dog snuggled up in his room, he blows him a kiss knowing when he awakens, his bestie will greet him with an incessantly wagging tail for it all to begin again.

Why this? Well, my little cupcake, this cutie pie 3 year old can instinctively manifest bliss. And so much so, he does it without thought. This is the truth of freedom through the eyes of a non conformist child. He hasn’t gone to school, he hasn’t been programmed, he hasn’t been brainwashed into believing he has to work his ass like a trojan just to get a gold medal in retirement. Oh, no! He doesn’t dream of being Superman, he knows he is Superman.

And traveling alone?

Bliss is something that fascinates me as I reflect on 17 years of solo traveling non stop. I was at my happiest when looking through the eyes of my own Superman. Or Wonderwoman in my case. I was free, I was in the now, and I was hooked. It was all new. I was in my happy place, and I was free. I had stepped into a fast flowing river of bliss. It wasn’t until I had stepped out, did I truly realise I was in it.

One of the most incredible things I love about traveling alone is that each day is a new ‘canvas’ to paint. And by this, I mean the constant flow of new places, people, food, etc. Best of all, there are no negative feelings! Now, can you say the same about where you live? (This is one thing I teach in Solo Travel Masterclass – how to feel BLISS no matter where you are in the world).

One Caveat to manifesting bliss

It doesn’t take a genius to work out you have to step in and out of bliss frequently to feel it the most deeply. Also, if you want an easy peasy life doing nothing, and that is OK, you will be on a fast lane backward. But if you are achieving dreams, and chasing new ones with an unbrindled passion and onto the next, expect to be on a First Class ticket to happily ever after as you give Snow White a run for her money.

How to manifest bliss today?

If you don’t feel it, you can tune up to it. You will only know when you focus on finding it. And when you get there, you will just begin living the life that was always intended. As destiny intended. Never settle for ordinary when you know extraordinary exists. Never settle for getting by when you can fly, and certainly never settle for bondage when bliss exists in all places at all times. Chase it, sweetie, I promise you, you will LOVE it.

Ciao, ciao my little pumpkin! XO
